CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT A. Bidders are invited to Bid on a Construction Contract known as the Westview Park Expansion - Site Improvements Project. B. Location of Work: 6624 West Parkway Blvd., West Valley City, Utah 84128. B. Scope of Work: Contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, coordination and incidentals necessary to complete work as described in the Contract Documents. The work to be performed generally includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. The complete construction of a new city park Includes site clearing and grubbing, excavation and earth work, rough grading, top soil screening, irrigation system installation with controller, top soil placement, finish grading, sod/hydroseed/drill seed turf, trees, shrubs, groundcover, utilities installation, concrete flatwork, concrete curbing, asphalt roadways and parking, structure erection, prefabricated concrete boardwalk installation, pre-fabricated pedestrian bridge installation, pre-fabricated pavilion installation, playground installation, impact material installation, lights and light piers, electrical systems, electrical service, gates and fencing, drinking fountain and park sign. 2. Other work normally encountered during construction on improved and unimproved properties. A. Bidders are not required to be pre-qualified for this project. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Unsealed or segregated Bids will not be accepted. Bidders shall comply with all Instructions to Bidders. A. The work will be substantially completed in 100 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. All contractors intending on submitting a bid are invited to attend so they can obtain relevant information concerning the project. Bidders are advised that information affecting drawings, specifications, conditions, Scope of Work, etc. may be discussed. OWNER assumes no obligation to disclose information discussed at the prebid conference to Bidders who do not attend. Absent Bidders assume all risk of failure to attend. Bid Security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security will be returned to each unsuccessful Bidder after tabulation and award of the Construction Contract. On the outside of the envelope, the Bidder shall indicate the Construction Contract title, the name and address of the Bidder and the date and time of the Bid opening. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informality or technicality in any Bid if deemed to be in the best interest of the OWNER. Bids shall remain valid for 45 days after the day of Bid opening. Bidders who withdraw their Bid after the Bid opening, but before expiration of said period, shall forfeit their Bid Security if Notice of Intent to Award to Bidder is made by OWNER. GOVERNING LAWS AND REGULATIONS A. This project is not federally funded and does not require the payment of specific wage rates. Payroll submittal will not be required. EMPLOYMENT STATUS VERIFICATION SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS A. The Contractor shall present evidence to the City of participation in an approved Status Verification System prior to execution of this Agreement.
