Reference Number 0000350090 The Town of West Springfield, in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 149, is seeking sealed bids from contractors for the supply and installation of additions to the existing Digital Watchdog School Security Camera System for the West Springfield Public Schools. Wages are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive. Federal Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the United States Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Act also apply to this project. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a licensed surety company, or a Certified check, or a Treasurer's or Cashier's check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the base bid payable to the Town of West Springfield. A Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the Contract Price will be required of the Successful Bidder. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish workmen's compensation insurance and public liability insurance. All work shall be completed by September 30, 2024. A $500/day penalty charge will be assessed if the contractor does not meet the specified final completion date. *The contract shall be awarded by the Chief Procurement Officer, which reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in part or in whole, any and all proposals or to take whatever action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of West Springfield.
