The Town of Madison Connecticut is soliciting sealed bids for The Rehabilitation of Flintlock Road Bridge No. 075009. This project generally consists of the removal of the existing concrete masonry unit wingwalls and concrete channel/walls at the ends of the existing ACCMP arch culvert. The existing ACCMP culvert is to remain in place but both ends of the pipe will be cut off. The portion of the culvert to remain will be cleaned and a new spray coating applied. Flowable fill will be installed over the culvert due to shallow existing cover. New concrete cut-off walls, headwalls and a new concrete channel/walls at the inlet will be constructed. The work also includes storm drainage and roadway reconstruction, placement of metal beam rail, associated regrading, riprap, turf restoration and other miscellaneous site work. The work described above includes furnishing, installing and incorporating all materials and equipment into the project as well as performing or providing all labor, supervision, equipment and services unless otherwise noted within the bid documents for the lump sum base bid. A satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check, in an amount equal to five (5%) of the base Bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bid Bond shall be made payable to the Town of Madison and shall be properly executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties. All bonds must be from sureties registered in the State of Connecticut. The Town of Madison reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or options, to waive any technicality in any bid or part thereof, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Madison.
