Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Waterbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 5/6/2024 2:00 PM The project will realign the intersection of Walnut, North Walnut, and East Farm Streets for traffic calming as detailed and described in the Bid Documents. The intersection of East Farm Street at Walnut Street will be all-way-stop controlled with a channelized westbound right-turn lane that will be yield sign controlled. The project also includes the installation of a pedestrian island at the intersection of Walnut Street and East Farm Street, onstreet parking, curb extensions to shorten pedestrian crossing distances, concrete sidewalk reconstruction, and the installation of drainage structures as well as signing and pavement marking upgrades. The project will involve mill and overlay improvements along Walnut, East Farm, and North Walnut Streets. Mill and overlay operations along Walnut Street will occur approximately 200 feet west of East Farm Street and proceed 150 feet east of North Walnut Street. Mill and overlay operations along East Farm Street will be approximately 100 feet from the intersection with Walnut Street and with North Walnut Street extending approximately 50 feet from Walnut Street.
