The City of the Village of Douglas is soliciting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Demolition Contractor for the demolition of the residential buildings at the Douglas Marina located at 201 N Washington Street, Douglas, MI 49406. Demolition includes, unless otherwise specified, all accessory buildings and other related accessory structures on the property. The City is issuing this RFP with the intent to enter into a Contract with a Contractor who best meets the requirements of this RFP. We invite interested parties to participate in this bidding process and provide competitive quotes for the project. It is the intent of the City of Douglas to enter into a Contract with the Bidder whose Bid is the most conforming to the RFP and will be most advantageous to the City of Douglas, provided it has been submitted in completion and accordance with the Bid requirements. Bids may be reviewed by a committee, and the selected bid will be presented to City Council for consideration. If a Bid is selected, it will be the most advantageous regarding costs and other factors which the City of Douglas may consider. The City expressly reserves the right to accept a Bid other than the lowest Bid and reserves the right to negotiate any terms prior to a Contract. City Council has the sole authority to award contract at their pleasure.
