Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Description of the Standard Specifications is modified to add: Remove the existing single span bridge, pavement on the bridge, pavement on the bridge, abutments, and guardrail on Avenue 3E over the "A" Canal. The Contractor shall perform all work as may be necessary to complete the contract in a satisfactory and acceptable manner in full compliance with the plans, specifications and terms of the contract. Complete closure of Avenue 3E will be a limited time from Saturday 11/23/2024 to Saturday 12/14/2024 using a detour. The detour for the project will start at the intersection of Avenue 3E and County 14th Street. It will travel east on County 14th Street for one mile to Avenue 4E, then south on Avenue 4E for one mile to County 15th Street, then west on County 15th Street for one mile to end at Avenue 3E for a total of 3 miles. The work shall be done under the direction of an Arizona registered professional engineer employed by the contractor. All right of way monuments and lines shall be established by an Arizona registered land surveyor employed by the contractor. Project plans are based on topographic survey and base mapping prepared by James Davey and Associates. The items listed in the Bid Schedule of the Proposal are intended to include the major items for the project; however, there is other work necessary to complete the project. If work to complete the project has not been designated by a specific item on the Bid Schedule, the Contractor shall include the cost for the work in some related bid item so that his Proposal for the project does reflect the total cost of all necessary and required work to complete the project in its entirety. The construction of this project is to be completed by the dates listed below and the canal dryup/water outage period as established by the Yuma Mesa Irrigation and Drainage District (District) and Yuma County. No extensions of the times specified will be granted. Irrigation deliveries through the canal will commence immediately at the end of the water outage period. The work consists of, but is not limited to: Removal of an existing steel bridge, installation of a double cell precast concrete box culvert, paving and miscellaneous work. The Yuma County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in a bid, as it may deem in the best interest of the County.)"
