Renovation of a military facility in Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Southwest (SW) Facility Engineering Acquisition Division (FEAD) Yuma has a project for building 645 to divide the current office spaces and replace the chiller. Building #645 is a former barracks converted to office space and is constructed of concrete masonry unit and castin-place concrete slabs. Present users group security and privacy requirements limit the current 295 sf offices to one occupant, exceeding individual square footage allotment standards. The work will included demolition and abatement of vinyl flooring; demolition and replacement of the air cooled package chillers; providing accessible entry doors and signage; subdivision of 15 office spaces to include lighting and electrical; upgrades to current HVAC supply/return distribution system; and start-up, testing and balancing of HVAC system. This project is located at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma. The project duration is 480 days & 3 phased (1 design & 2 construction phases). This Prevailing Wage & has the Buy American requirement. Construction Value: $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 The bidder shall furnish a bid guarantee. The amount of the bid guarantee shall be 20 percent of the bid price or $3,000.000, whichever is less (see FAR 52.228-1, Bid Guarantee). The bidder shall furnish a bid guarantee in the form of a firm commitment, e.g., bid bond supported by good and sufficient surety or sureties acceptable to the Government, postal money order, certified check, cashier's check, irrevocable letter of credit, or, under Treasury Department regulations, certain bonds or notes of the United States. The Contracting Officer will return bid guarantees, other than bid bonds- Performance bonds (Standard Form 25). The penal amount of performance bonds at the time of contract award shall be 100 percent of the original contract price. (2) Payment Bonds (Standard Form 25A). The penal amount of payment bonds at the time of contract award shall be 100 percent of the original contract price. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct exchanges if later determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary. Therefore, each initial proposal should contain the Offeror's best offer from a price standpoint. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
