Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in McHenry, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The proposed improvements include: Aggregate Base Repair, Bituminous Paving and Pavement Markings. Questions are due to ggruen@cityofmchenry.org no later than 12:01 p.m. (CST) on May 13, 2024. Questions will be answered via addendum and posted on the City's website no later than 4:00 p.m (CST) on May 14, 2024. Notification of Intent to Bid submittals will not be processed by the City after 3:30 PM three (3) calendar days preceding the published letting date. This Project is Subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130, and Contractors shall comply with all requirements of the Prevailing Wage Act. Prevailing wage rates and certified payroll requirements are available at the Illinois Department of labor website online. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals or to accept the submittal(s) deemed most advantageous to the City. The project will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. This project is financed with funds from the IL Dept. of Natural Resources, State Boating Fund. The City encourages minority business firms to submit bids on the project and to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services and construction.
