Communications and Questions Regarding Solicitation: Following Pace's issuance of this solicitation and until Pace's issuance of a fully executed Contract for this solicitation ("solicitation period"), a Bidder and Bidder's subcontractor(s) and independent contractor(s) shall communicate only with Pace's Chief Procurement Officer ("CPO") or the CPO's authorized representative, Alison Reisner, as prescribed in this cover sheet. Any communication by a Bidder or Bidder's subcontractor(s) or independent contractor(s) regarding this solicitation with members of Pace's Board of Directors, staff, consultants, or subconsultants during the solicitation period is prohibited and may result in disqualification of the Bidder and/or the Bidder's subcontractor(s) or independent contractor(s). Submission Requirements: A Bid must consist of: (1) the Contract signed by the Bidder; and (2) the Bidder's price proposal, which will be an exhibit to the Contract. Any terms or conditions added, exceptions taken, or modification made to the Contract or any of its exhibits by the Bidder may result in disqualification of the Bidder. Pace will not be liable to the Bidder for any costs, expenses, or losses that the Bidder incurs in connection with the solicitation process, including responding to the solicitation and preparing its Bid. Within seven days after issuance of Pace's issuance of a written "Notice to Proceed," Contractor shall apply for all necessary permits for the Work specified in the Notice to Proceed. Contractor shall: (a) commence the Work within 15 days from date that the first of the permits is issued or immediately if no permits are necessary; (b) substantially complete the Work within 365 days from the date of the issuance of Pace's Notice to Proceed; and (c) complete the Work, including obtaining Pace's final acceptance of the Work, within 90 days from the date of substantial completion of the Work. Upon the Effective Date, Contractor shall notify Pace of the names of and contact information for Contractor's project manager, field superintendent, and major field representatives. Contractor shall remove one existing Ross and White rollover vehicle wash system, and furnish and install, one (1) new self-propelled, track/rail mounted rollover vehicle wash system, reclaim module and all associated equipment at the Pace Paratransit Facility located at 5007 Prime Parkway Center, McHenry, IL 60050.
