City/County Lake County DOT This project consists of the pulverization of the existing pavement and the construction of Hot-Mix Asphalt Binder and Surface Courses at certain locations. At other locations, it also consists of milling off the existing hot-mix asphalt road; constructing Class D Patches; Leveling Binder and Hot-Mix Asphalt Surface Course. Coordination with Antioch Township will be required. Traffic Control and Protection for the work zone is also required. The improvements include modifying the intersections of Darrell Road with Dowell Road and Darrell Road with Fisher Road to provide modern roundabouts. Dowell Road will be re-aligned to the south to provide an intersection closer to ninety degrees with Darrell Road. This work includes HMA pavement reconstruction, concrete curb and gutter and median construction, HMA multi-use path construction, installation of storm sewer and drainage structures, retaining wall construction, excavation of detention basins, street lighting installation, pavement marking and landscaping.
