The proposed improvements include: Concrete curb, lighting, storm sewer, bituminous paving, and other necessary and incidental work. Questions will be answered via addendum and posted on the City's website no later than 4:00 p.m. (CST). The City of McHenry reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities. Prior to submitting a bid, a firm interested in submitting a bid as a Prime Contractor must complete and return a Notification of Intent to Bid form no less than three calendar days prior to the bid opening. Notification of Intent to Bid submittals will not be processed by the City after 3:30 PM three (3) calendar days preceding the published letting date. Submittal of the Notification of Intent to Bid shall confirm the bidder's intention to submit a bid and shall serve as the bidder's request for the City's Authorization to Bid. The City, in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that the contract(s) entered into pursuant to this Notice will be awarded to the successful Bidders without discrimination on the ground of race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, familial status or national origin. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals or to accept the submittal(s) deemed most advantageous to the City. The contractor shall be responsible for all labor and materials necessary to complete the work identified on the plans, bid documents and specifications including, but not limited to, the following: 1. Reconstruction of the existing asphalt parking lot with new asphalt pavement. 2. Traffic Control. 3. Erosion control including street sweeping if necessary. 4. Site grading. 5. Concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement. 6. Portland cement concrete sidewalk removal and replacement. 7. Storm Sewer installation. 8. Lighting Improvements 9. Landscape restoration. Any work necessary to complete the project that is not specifically listed as a pay item shall be considered incidental to the Agreement and no additional compensation shall be given.
