Furnish materials, labor, and equipment necessary to construct a new Key Stone stage. I. Demolishment:
a. Clear and grub area of new stage to a minimum 12" below finish grade of
existing grass.
b. All debris shall be hauled off site and properly disposed.
II. Drainage Improvement:
a. Furnish and install 4" and 8" Schedule 80 PVC pipe. Location to be identified
at mandatory pre bid meeting. III. New Wall:
a. New wall construction shall be 3 full size Key Stone blocks (Standard in dark
gray) with 4" Key Stone caps or an approved equal. Substitution requests
must be received before close of question end date, and must be a side by
side comparison showing that the requested substitution is equal to or
greater than approved products.
b. New footing and construction of new wall shall be per manufacturer's
specifications and recommendations. Units shall be interlocked with noncorrosive fiberglass pins, and fully filled with a manufacturer recommended or
approved crushed rock or gravel.
c. Contractor shall be responsible for constructing the new wall straight, level
and plumb.
IV. Concrete work
a. Backfill material against backside of new wall shall be as recommended by
the manufacturer.
b. Install 4" of aggregate base coarse and compact area.
c. New concrete slab shall be 4 inch thick with a 6 inch thickened edge
around the perimeter.
d. Concrete mix shall be a minimum of 3500 psi.
e. There shall be crack control joints cut at 10 feet on center in either
direction.
f. Concrete finish shall be a light broom finish.
g. Reinforcing shall be a single continuous #4 rebar in the thickened edge and
6 x 6 x 10 galvanized welded wire fabric throughout. A performance bond is required for all projects $50,000 and above To be eligible to submit a bid, the bidder must possess a valid State of Hawaii Contractor's license classification: A - General.` Project shall commence upon issuance of the purchase order and partial work shall be completed by July 31, 2024.
