The City of Alameda invites proposals for the On-Call Street Safety Improvements Proposers shall read the information contained in this Request for Proposal (RFP) to understand how to submit the proposal, what documents must accompany the proposal and what legal obligations apply when the Proposer submits a proposal. Any Proposer that wishes to be considered for this work must submit the information requested in this RFP and if invited, participate in an evaluation interview panel. The contract will be used on an as needed basis, and in general, may involve installation, removal, or refreshing of pavement markings, curb paintings, traffic signage, sign posts, delineators/bollards, and wheel stops. Temporary traffic control and posting of temporary no parking signs may also be required as part of any potential work. If awarded, the contract will be for three years with options to extend for one year, up to two times. The contract amount for the first three years will be $450,000 total, and will increase by $150,000 per one-year contract extension. There is no guarantee for work. Unless approved in writing by the awarded Contractor, the minimum amount of on-call work for each set of task orders shall not be less than $10,000. The minimum amount requirement has been provided in lieu of mobilization costs. In the event that the requested work is less than $10,000, the contractor will be paid the cost of the work, plus fifteen percent (15%). Any Proposal received prior to bid date and time may be modified by written addendum or withdrawn by written request from the Proposer to the City up to the official time when all proposals are due. Proposers are responsible for obtaining any addenda to the RFP during the bid process.
