Demolition, site work and addition to a mixed-use development in South River, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Early Learning Center Addition to the South River Board Office. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following (see contract drawings and specifications for the balance of scope not described in this summary): a. Single-Story classroom addition, approximately 5,500 sf consisting of three general purpose self-contained classrooms and one OT/PT classroom. b. The building envelope will include storefront windows, and exterior walls consisting of Hardie board siding on an insulated, cold-formed metal framed bearing wall system . Roof system will be asphalt shingles and EPDM c. New HVAC system. d. New Electric Service. e. The building addition will be unsprinklered. f. Infrastructure (J-Boxes, Conduit, CAT 6 cable) shall be provided for future Smart Televisions, Wireless Access Points, Computer Work Stations. Data ports shall be provided for phones system, and power (conduit and j-boxes) shall be provided for access control at exterior doors. g. Work includes all associated site improvements and earthwork including but not limited to trenching, grading, walks, lawn restoration and protection. Import and placement of well-graded general fill at the building pad is required in accordance with site drawings and the geotechnical report. h. Work includes all temporary protection, daily clean-up, phasing and scheduling associated with construction in and adjacent to an occupied building. i. See drawings and specifications for balance of Work. All bidders, their subcontractors, and their sub-subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11- 56.48 et seq. indicating compliance with the Act for work subject to the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.) Contractors must submit copies of their certificate of registration with their bid and must also include copies of the certificates for each named subcontractor listed in its bid form with its bid. Sub-subcontractor certificates must be submitted prior to the sub-subcontractor providing goods or services on this Project. Bond Notes: The Bid must contain a Bid Security in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the Bid Price, not to exceed Twenty Thousand ($20,000.00) Dollars, and Consent of surety, each in the form and manner required by the Contract Documents. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority ("NJSDA") as stated in the Contract Documents, prior to the date bids are received. Owner Rights: The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law, if it is in the interest of the Board to do so.
