Renovation of an educational facility in South River, New Jersey. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of October 06, 2025, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will be rebid but no definite date yet.** Question Deadline 09/02/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Bidder questions are to be submitted to DIGroupArchitecture, LLC. Questions shall be emailed to Rich Alderiso at ralderiso@digrouparchitecture.com. The project includes, but is not limited to the follo wing items of Work 1. HVAC Upgrades & Improvements at the South River Primary School and the South River Elementary School as more particularly described in the Contract Documents. 2. South River Primary School: Scope of work at the South River Primary School includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of various HVAC-related components associated with existing units such as starter transmission for chiller, VRV drive motor, actuator, air damper, freeze pump, refrigerant monitor, oil separator heat ers, controls panel, etc. as further described within the drawings and specifications. 3. South River Elementary School: Scope of work at the South River Elementary School includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of va rious HVAC-related components, air handling units, heat recovery units, chiller panel upgr ades, and control system upgrade as further described within the drawings and specifications. Bid package for the South River Elementary School will include several Deduct-Alternates. 4. Work includes all utility tie-ins including but not limited to gas, hot water and electric along with system tie-ins to the existing BMS system. 5. Work includes all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to modify or replace existing roofing and / or support components to accommodate new HVAC equipment. This includes: Curbs, Equipment Rails & Pads: Install new or modified roof curbs, equipment rails or pads suitable for the new HVAC units, ensuring prope r flashing and waterproofing. Roofing & Flashing: Remove and restore roofing and flashing as required, maintaining system integrity and any applicable warranties. HVAC Upgrades and Improvements at the South River Primary School and the South River Elementary School as shown in the Contract Documents bearing the same name. Bids which comply with the Contract Documents will be received for a combined bid for all Work (single prime). Checks shall be made payable to DIGroup Architecture, LLC. Bid Packages will be made available on August 14th, 2025 by 1:00 p.m Bid proposals will not be accepted from any person or entity who have obtained a bid package from anyone other than the architect. All bidders must formally register their company information with the architect's office in order to receive a bid package. Due to the nature of the work involved, that can only be seen by an in-depth visitation, the attendance of all the bidders is requested and STRONGLY ENCOURAGED as an integral and important element of the bidding process so that all bidders have an equal understanding of the scope of work involved. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority ("NJSDA") as stated in the Contract Documents, prior to the date bids are received. The Bid must contain a Bid Security in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the Bid Price, not to exceed Twenty Thousand ($20,000.00) Dollars, and Consent of surety, each in the form and manner required by the Contract Documents. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to ensure timely receipt of its Bid by the Owner, at the place designated for opening of bids. The Owner assumes no responsibility whatsoever in connection with any defects arising out of the issuance of the Contract Documents or its failure to receive Bids at the time and place required and those which may arise from delay for any reason in obtaining the Contract Documents or in the submission of a Bid, including, but not limited to, delays or failures of receipt caused by traffic delay, errors by messengers, mis-labeling, mis-direction from any source including the Owner's personnel, mis-delivery by common carrier, or any other reason. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law, if it is in the interest of the Board to do so. When it is in its best interest to do so and to the maximum extent of its discretion under applicable law, the Owner may award the Contract in whole or in part, select any combination of Bids and alternates, may waive any informalities, and may reject any or all Bids.
