For the following Contract: CONTRACT NO. T-319.00R002-3-02 - ASPHALT RESURFACING BETWEEN MILEPOST 319.33 AND MILEPOST 322.22 IN CHESTER COUNTY, PENNSYVANIA This project provides for the resurfacing of the Turnpike travel lanes in both directions. The project also provides asphalt and concrete pavement patching, slab stabilization, maintenance and protection of traffic, median delineation, and polyurea pavement markings. Work items include, but are not limited to: 10,029 TONS Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course, 2" Depth 91,170 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement Surface, 2" Depth 700 CY Asphalt Pavement Patching, Type A & Type B 1,972 EACH Holes Drilled (Asphalt Stabilization) 35,480 GAL Asphalt 159,548 LF Temporary Pavement Markings 72,644 LF Permanent Pavement Markings Milepost 319.33 is located approximately 0.5 miles west of the Rt. 29 Slip Ramp, Exit 320, and Milepost 322.22 is located approximately 2 miles east of the Rt. 29 Slip Ramp, Exit 320, in Chester County, Pennsylvania. The proposal and plans are published electronically in EBS and are available to registered business partners for downloading and printing. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
