The Town of Westford is seeking written quotes for management of non-native, invasive vegetation in various, publicly accessible ponds and Nabnasset Lake for 2024 - 2026. The management includes several components: (1) assessment of plant communities and water quality analysis; (2) application of herbicide treatment, if applicable; (3) post-treatment evaluation of plant communities and water quality; and (4) nutrient budget analysis and sediment coring and sampling. Additional alternative activities may include: (A) algal treatments and (B) physical/mechanical methods to control non-native plants. Deadline for Questions: Monday, May 20, 2024 @ 4:00 PM Deadline for Submission of Questions: All questions regarding the meaning or intent of this RFQ shall be directed electronically to the Town Manager's Office, at the following email: tmaa@westfordma.gov. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all responses, wholly or in part, and to accept bids only in the best interest of the Town. The Town reserves the right to waive minor informalities. The Select Board is the awarding authority. Withdrawal; Effectiveness: Bids may be withdrawn upon written request to the Town prior to the submission deadline. Otherwise, bids shall not be modified, amended, or withdrawn for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days from the submission deadline, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded. AWARD OF CONTRACT: Rule for Award: The Town shall award a contract to the lowest priced responsible and responsive bidder. The successful bidder will be notified, in writing, mailed to the address on their bid, that their bid has been accepted and that the bidder has been awarded the contract.
