The project will consist of the construction of new railway spurs that total approximately 1,417 lineal feet as noted on the plan sheet(s). Bidding and construction will be divided in two schedules. Schedule 1 is the Base Bid and will consist of the construction of approximately 880 lineal feet. Schedule 2 is the Additive Bid for an extension of the main line along the right of way of Central Ferry Rd. to the northeast, approximately 537 lineal feet of track. All labor and materials shall be included on the bid form as specified and shall conform in strength, quality of workmanship, and material to that which is specified. Any variance from the specifications or standards of quality must be clearly pointed out in writing by the bidder and approved by the Port. The Contractor shall furnish all additional materials and equipment required for the project. Work shall include all labor, equipment, tools, and all incidentals necessary to fully complete the work and installations as listed in the invitation to bid documents including: Grading and Earthwork Site Clearing Site Grading Cut/Fill Erosion Control, including cutoff ditches and silt fence Railway Construction Installing Subballast and Ballast Installing new track Installing 2 Number 9 Switches, Constructing 1 Concrete Road Crossing
