Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cheshire, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Based upon the recent sewer feasibility approval for a 56-unit affordable housing development, we believe that it is prudent to plan for the reconstruction of East Mitchell Avenue, which is a substandard road that lacks a storm drainage system and sidewalks. This estimate was developed in consultation with contractors and unit costs included in the Department of Administrative Services paving bid. A newly reconstructed road should last 15 to 20 years. The project is include in the City's 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
