The work to be completed by the contractor shall consists, in general, of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the renovation work associated with removing existing neon tubing signs on top and logos on bottom, pressure washing and painting exterior surfaces, fabrication and installing stainless steel strips for the semi-circular side rings, illuminated channel letter signs on top, and non-illuminated pin-wheel logos on the bottom for the two pylon signs at Union Landing Shopping Center. The Contractor shall possess a Class C-45 and/or Class C-61/D-42 Contractors License California contractors license at the time this contract is awarded. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. This contract is subject to the State contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code Section 12990. Minimum wage rates for this project as predetermined by the Secretary of Labor are set forth in the special provisions. If there is a difference between the minimum wage rates predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and prevailing wage rates determined by the Department of Industrial Relations for similar classifications of labor, the contractor and his subcontractors shall pay not less than the higher wage rates.
