Question Cuttoff Date & Time 5/21/2024 12:00:00 PM (ET) Mark Arnold - Deputy Director - LFUCG Facilities Management Email: marnold@lexingtonky.gov Phone: 859-425-2231 Contractor to communicate and coordinate with Project Coordinator after bid award for questions, clarifications, scheduling, etc. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Consisting of the construction and/or furnishing of items as listed in the Bid Schedule beginning on page P-6, Part III, Form of Proposal, of this document, for the Fleet Services Concrete Replacement, Lexington-Fayette County, Kentucky. Building Address: 669 Byrd Thurman Drive, Lexington, Kentucky 40510 Main Bid To replace existing blacktop parking lot area marked with new heavy duty concrete slab Replacing to include: Demolition of Existing Parking Lot Excavation for new concrete slab Excavation and backfilling of new base material Installation of new French drain Preparation, forming & pouring of new concrete Protecting existing concrete slabs/pads & existing asphalt road not being replaced. Alternate Bid -Provide Price per Square Foot for alternate bid To replace existing blacktop parking lot area marked with new heavy duty concrete slab Replacing to include: Demolition of Existing Parking Lot Excavation for new concrete slab Excavation and backfilling of new base material Preparation, forming & pouring of new concrete Protecting existing concrete slabs/pads & existing asphalt road not being replaced. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the closing date for receipt of bids. Errors and omissions will not be cause for withdrawal of bid without forfeit of bid bond. If the bid is $50,000 or greater, bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government in an amount not less than Five Percent (5%) of the base bid. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government may be served. Bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" from the OWNER and to fully complete the Project within the time as specified in the Contract. Bidder must agree also to pay $250.00 per calendar day thereafter deadline for final completion. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government has set a goal that not less than ten percent (10%) of the total value of this Contract be subcontracted to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, which is made up of MBEs and WBEs, and set a goal that not less than three percent (3%) of the total value of this Contract be subcontracted to VeteranOwned Small Businesses.
