Highway Milling in Queen Anne's County To provide a front-loading milling machine with operator to perform site specific milling services within Queen Annes County to mill spots as needed. This contract will be effective for one calendar year (June 1, 2024 - May 31, 2025).The Contractor must be able to haul their own milling machine to the worksite on a trailer, offload, and provide all fuel, labor, and have an operator capable of communicating and understanding assignments given by the SHA contract manager. All cost components like fuels, oil, grease, maintenance and repairs, insurance, taxes, labor, and overhead shall be included in the machine time per hour. Small Business Reserve Designation Yes This is a Small Business Reserve Procurement for which award will be limited to Certified Small Business vendors. Only vendors that meet the statutory requirements set forth in State Finance and Procurement Article Subsections 14-501 - 14-505, Annotated Code of Maryland, and who are registered with the Department of General Services Small Business Reserve Program are eligible for award of a contract. Refer to Attachment No. II for further information regarding this program. The duration / term of the contract is 12 months or total payments of not more than $50,000, whichever comes first. OR The duration / term of the contract is upon completion of the project or total payments of not more than $50,000, whichever comes first. Bid shall be based on "Cost per Hour" for a front load milling machine or equivalent equipment with experienced operator. The award shall be based upon the lowest Grand Total Bid and be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the services required in the amount not to exceed $50,000.00. The Contractor must be covered by a sufficient amount of liability insurance. The Contractor shall provide this Administration with proof of liability insurance and coverage before the contract is awarded.
