The Work consists of the removal and replacement of existing roof systems, both asphalt shingle and EPDM membrane, and appurtenant components including, but not limited to, underlayment, coverboard, flashing, chimney caps, intake & ridge vents, backer rod & control joint sealant and select replacement of deteriorated wood substrate and slate tiles. The Liberty Building houses administrative offices and public meeting space which are essential to County operations; owning to the critical nature of the facility, certain scheduling, means and methods of construction will be subject to coordination with and approval by the Owner. The Work is more fully described and detailed in the contract documents. Refer to the Bid Documents for a complete description of work. Bid Security is required to be submitted with the bid in accordance with the General Conditions. Completed Conflict of Interest Disclosure & Employment of Aliens Statement is required to be submitted with the bid. Failure to submit these with the bid shall deem the bid non-responsive Bidders are directed to the provisions of the Instructions to Bidders for additional information governing the bidding process. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bids are to remain open for 60 days. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted in writing only, to the ENGINEER, Lee E.
