The Rural Municipality of Gimli is accepting quotes to perform crack sealing repairs of approximately 4350 meters on the following paved roads: Distillery Rd Thompson Dr 2nd Ave Goldfield Dr The crack sealing of asphalt roads is part of the annual street maintenance program. Crack sealing is meant to extend pavement life by minimizing the entry of water into the road structure. This maintenance program is meant to extend the overall service life of asphalt roads. Four asphalt roads have been identified for crack sealing and are included in Table 1: Crack Sealing Locations. The Contractor must obtain Comprehensive General Public Liability coverage with limits of $2,000,000.00 per occurrence or incident. The policy must name the Rural Municipality of Gimli as an additional insurer in respect of all matters associated with the contract and will protect the Municipality in respect of all claims arising directly or indirectly because of the contract. Coverage must include bodily injury, death, and property damage, including loss of use thereof and shall not have a deductible that exceeds $500.00. Before the Contractor starts work for the Municipality, a Certificate of Insurance must be provided to them. Before such coverage is terminated, the insurer must notify the Municipality of the date of termination. Upon renewal of the policy, the insurer will provide an updated Certificate to the Municipality.
