This work will include the replacement of 1060 LF of 10" DIP water main on Old Mill Road and 875 LF of 6" DIP water main on Oriole Road. There are about 18 water service lines that should be connected to the new main. The work shall include connections to all existing water lines. The work also includes the installation of new service laterals and valves from two fire hydrants. 45- degree fittings and other fittings will be required to go under or over all existing utilities. The trenched area will be milled and overlaid for about 1,200 SY for paving restoration. Bidders must conform to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act since the estimated construction costs of the project exceed $25,000. All Requests for Information shall be submitted online by 12:00 pm on June 3rd The bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Wyomissing Borough. Also required are a properly executed Bid Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Certification Statement, and Contractor's Qualification Statement. The successful bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of written notice of acceptance of the Bid.
