2024 STREET IMPROVEMENTS The work includes mill and overlay of all of Darlin Drive, Trent Avenue from Fairview Avenue to Penn Avenue, and Wingert Road from State Hill Road to Lawndale Road. Cold in-place recycling will take place on Reading Boulevard from Logan Avenue to Squire Court. Downing Drive from 82 Downing Drive to S. Hampton Drive, plus all of S. Hampton Drive, will receive a double micro surfacing layer. Work also includes curb reconstruction and line striping. Also included in this scope of work is the reconstruction of 18 ADA ramps. All Requests for Information shall be submitted online by 12:00 pm on January 31st to allow time to post an addendum online. Bidders must conform to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act since the estimated construction costs of the project exceed $100,000. The Municipal Representative at this time is Jim Babb, Public Works Director. No responses will be provided for requests received after that time or submitted by other means. Responses will be provided on the website and be visible to all Bidders. Any changes to the plans or specifications will be provided as an Addendum and notice will be given to Bidders through the website via email. Bids will be publicly awarded on March 12, 2024 at 7:00 pm (local time) at the Wyomissing Borough Hall, 22 Reading Boulevard, Wyomissing, PA 19610. The bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Wyomissing Borough. Also required are a properly executed Bid Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Certification Statement, and Contractor's Qualification Statement. The successful bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any portion of any bid, waiving any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in the bid, and to award Contracts as is deemed best for the Borough.
