The reservoir is located at Skyline Drive, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Coordinates: 44.800232, -91.545138. It is a 4,000,000-gallon potable water ground storage reservoir, that was constructed by Minneapolis Tank & Manufacturing Company in 1969. Approximate dimensions are as follows: tank diameter of 169-feet, high-water level of 23-feet, low-water level at bottom of reservoir, and an overall height of 25-feet. This project includes the following work: cleaning, sandblasting, and painting all interior surfaces and spot repairing the exterior as part of the Base Bid Work. Cleaning, sandblasting, and painting all exterior surfaces as part of Add. Alternate Bid Work. Use of a tarp style containment is not mandatory. However, development of an environmental plan is required to demonstrate methods used to control the drift of dust and paint. Miscellaneous structure modifications. Welding and grinding to remove erection bracket scab marks, weld spatter, poor welds, and other surface irregularities.
