Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in College Park, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 5,180-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

J. Vinton Schafer Construction LLC is soliciting Subcontractor bid proposals for the project referenced above. The project consists of the Construction of a 5,180 sf Masonry building and other work indicated in the Contract Documents including but not limited to carpentry, thermal & moisture protection, openings (doors, hardware, windows, aluminum doors, Kalwall, sectional doors), finishes, gymnasium equipment. Construction is anticipated to start in July/August of 2024. A. This Project is subject to State Prevailing Wage Rates (included in front ends). B. This Project is subject to Minority Business Enterprise requirements of (29%) including MBE sub goals of eight percent (8%) for African American owned businesses and eleven percent (11%) for Women owned business. C. This Project may be funded in part by State, Federal, and/or Local Funds; awarded subcontractor shall comply with all regulatory and reporting requirements associated with the funding agencies. D. A Payment and Performance Bond will be required, unless pre-approved otherwise through the J. Vinton Schafer pre-qualification process. We encourage everyone to visit the site to see the area of the proposed construction, the original facility has since been removed as there is only a building slab left. All bids are considered final when submitted, and none can be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid opening. J.
