The City of West Haven is seeking bids from qualified contractors for electrical improvements to the West Haven City Green located on Main Street in West Haven, Connecticut. This project is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and aims to enhance the electrical infrastructure to support public events and recreational activities. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: o Installation of new outdoor lighting systems o Upgrading existing electrical panels and wiring to meet current standards. o Installing power outlets at multiple points throughout the green. o Ensuring all installations are weather-proof and suitable for outdoor use. o Coordination with local utilities for any necessary service changes or upgrades. o Compliance with all local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations. The qualifications for all vendor who are bidding on this project must exhibit the following: o Licensed electrical contractor status in the State of Connecticut. o Experience with similar municipal or public works projects. o Adequate manpower and equipment to complete the project on schedule. o Good standing with respect to ARPA funding compliance requirements. The Bid submission must include: o A detailed proposal outlining the approach to the scope of work. o A complete pricing structure, itemized by materials, labor, and any other costs. o Proof of licensing and insurance o At least three reference from similar projects completed within the last five years. All bids will be evaluated based on compliance with the scope of work, cost effectiveness, the experience and reliability of the vendor as well as ARPA fund compliance. The timeline for completion will also be taken into consideration. This project is funded under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and as such, adherence to the federal funding rules and reporting requirements is mandatory. The City of West Haven reservices the right to reject any or all bids. The successful bidder will enter into a contract that outlines terms consistent with ARPA funding rules and all work must comply with federal, state, and local regulations. 1.
