Purpose of RFQ The Town of Lewisville, North Carolina (Town) invites the submittal of responses to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from firms qualified in the State of North Carolina to perform engineering, structural analysis, and related professional services specific to earthen dam construction and repair. The project to be designed is called Marblehead Dam Repair and is located in the Willow Run Municipal Service District (access gate 1912 Pinehurst Drive, 3603'47.6N 802614.5"W) Scope of Work In September 2023, seepage was found in a large area on the downstream slope side of the Low Hazard Marblehead Dam. Through an initial process of site surveying and geotechnical subsurface investigation by a licensed engineering firm, it was determined that the seepage does not need emergency action but does require mitigation. Conceptual design drawings and a preliminary construction cost estimate were prepared in order to allow the Town of Lewisville to initiate a funding mechanism for the project. This RFQ will determine which engineering firm designs and oversees the actual repair process. The successful firm will be contracted to perform design development, construction documents, and contract administration phases. Within each phase, there will be ancillary tasks including, but not limited to, permitting, bid assistance, construction observation, and other usual and customary tasks required of a professional engineering firm to take a project of this type from the end of the conceptual planning phase through design to final completion and close-out of the construction project. Time is of the essence and strong consideration will be given to the prospective firm's proposed timeline. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
