The CT will be used to monitor the current of a 115kV, 60 Hertz, grounded wye system. The output current of the current transformer will be used for instrumentation, relaying. The CT shall be suitable for use with modern, microprocessor protective relays. The CT will be mounted upright on a pedestal, replacing a model TE Type IK5-550 with a mounting hole pattern .75" 14" x 14" (Buyer would prefer a replacement unit that will not require pedestal modifications). The CT's will be considered with porcelain or composite insulators, please specify your offering in your proposal and bid sheet pricing. These Technical Specifications cover furnishing six (6) 115kV free-standing current transformers (CT) for substation use at the City's 230/115kV Airport-WAPA Switchyard. Only Manufacturers with a demonstrated experience to manufacture CTs of the type and rating specified will be considered. The equipment provided shall be completely built, tested and shipped by a Manufacturer who has been regularly engaged in the production of 115kV CTs for the past five (5) years, at a minimum. The Manufacturer shall also have parts, service facilities, and engineering support readily available in the domestic United States or Canada. Parts and field engineering support shall be readily available within twenty-four (24) hours.
