Site work for a water / sewer project in Rensselaer, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project includes installing Hyrda-stop Insta-valves, proposed 8" and 16" ductile iron water mains and fittings, new pressure reducing valve and meter vault, abandoning existing check valve manhole and existing pressure reducing valve and meter vaults with flowable fill, and reestablishing turf in any areas disturbed during construction. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Guarantee Bonds from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The City of Rensselaer reserves the right to consider the bids for forty-five (45) days after receipt before awarding any Contract, and to waive any informalities in, and to reject, any and all bids or to accept the lowest qualified responsible and conforming bid that in its judgment will be for the best interest of the City. The City may, in its sole discretion, request for bidders to hold bids for an additional thirty (30) days. All bids are subject to final review and approval by the City of Rensselaer before any award of contract may be made. Receipt of bids by the City shall not be construed as authority to bind the City Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6%
