Saving Project...

Site work for a water / sewer project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The purpose of this project is to ensure reliable availability of flow data used for regulatory reporting and process purposes by providing new, updated, reliable equipment. The scope includes replacing the nine flow meters located in large diameter pipes that have been in service for 25 to 30 years and have reached the end of their service lives. Seven of the flow meters are already magnetic flow meters that will be replaced in kind. The other two are clamp-on flow meters that will be upgraded to magnetic flow meters to improve accuracy and reliability. The flow meters have procurement periods of approximately six months each and significant plant capacity reductions will be required to install each meter. No significant operating budget impact is expected. The project is include in the county 2024 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
