SCOPE OF PROJECT The project primarily consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following approximate quantities: - 775 feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer replacement - 390 feet of 30-inch sanitary sewer replacement - 700 feet of HMA roadway reconstruction Work also includes, but is not limited to, clearing and brushing, incidental storm sewer removal & replacement, maintenance of traffic, incidental watermain replacement, dewatering, wastewater bypass pumping, and restoration. Contractor shall furnish all material, equipment, labor, and supervision to complete the specified work. The work to be performed under this contract will be paid for with funds obtained from the State of Michigan's Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program. Federal Davis Bacon wage rates will apply. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Benton Charter Township in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of 90 days after the receipt of bids. The contract is anticipated to be tentatively awarded at the July 2, 2024 Township board meeting, contingent upon successful financial arrangements with the CWSRF. All work shall be substantially complete within 14 weeks (96 calendar days) of commencement of construction on site. Construction will be permitted to occur in Summer/Fall 2024 or Spring/Summer 2025, but not both. If construction occurs in 2024, construction shall begin no sooner than August 12, 2024 and shall be substantially complete no later than November 15, 2024. If construction occurs in 2025, the project shall be substantially complete August 29, 2025.
