The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items: 1. Water Main: a. Installation of approximately 8" water main, including C900 PVC pipe, DI fittings, excavation, and backfill b. Installation of fire hydrant assemblies. c. Installation of 8" gate valves and valve vaults. d. Testing and disinfection of water main. 2. Water Services: a. Installation of 1" water service lines from water main to buffalo box, including tapping of water main, corporation stop, curb stop, and buffalo box, and all work necessary to restore the area to pre-construction condition. 3. Drainage Improvements: a. Removal and replacement of inlet structures with IDOT Type A Catch Basins. b. Cleaning of storm sewers connected to proposed drainage structures to be replaced. Bid Security: Certified, treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond in the sum of 10 percent of the bid. Successful bidder must furnish 100 percent Performance Bond and 100 percent Labor and Materials Bond. Illinois prevailing wage rates and public works employment laws are applicable.
