The superstructure is in poor condition due to section losses to through girders and floor beams. The girder bottom flanges have section loss up to 40% near the bearings with some localized web holes. There are several locations where the floor beam webs near the girder connections exhibit severe section loss up to 90% and required emergency repairs. The substructure is in fair condition due to large spalls and fractured areas at the northwest wingwall and some localized spalls of the abutments NJDOT : RFP Engineering - Route 173 Bridge over Mulhockaway Creek (Design B-1 Level B, H-1 Level A, H-3 Level A & E-3 Level A)
