Battelle in operation of the Department of Energy's (DOE) Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) requires a proposal for the design, fabrication, delivery, and installation of a Class ISO 6 Cleanroom per the Specifications attached (Attachment A). A. Background Battelle Memorial Institute, Pacific Northwest Division (Battelle), operator of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) for the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking a Contractor to provide all parts, equipment, and installation services sufficient to erect an ISO 6 Clean Room facility within two existing adjoining rooms at PNNL. PNNL will later install equipment in the finished Clean Room to allow thin film deposition and photolithographic fabrication of electronic micro-devices relevant to its research mission. B. Goal The Cleanroom will fulfill a critical role in the fabrication, characterization, and assembly of devices in support of PNNLs ongoing QIS efforts. The space will require a space dedicated to photolithography and general processing. Questions are due by 4pm PST on May 28, 2024 Contracts Specialist: Michel, Jessie L, Email jessie.michel@pnnl.gov. Work Included a. Contractor shall provide all necessary components and equipment to construct the design. This includes but is not limited to wall and ceiling panels, a conductive floor treatment, return air plenums, entry doors, air filtration modules and internal ductwork sufficient to produce ISO6 conditions, two wet bench/fume hoods, passthroughs for work items and feedthroughs for water, electricity, gases and vacuum as detailed in Section F. b. Contractor shall provide engineering drawings for the construction of a modular cleanroom system within the space including design of airflow and ventilation. Engineering draws will be reviewed by Battelle for acceptance prior to Contractor proceeding with the fabrication phase of the contract. c. Contractor shall provide printed operating and maintenance documents for all equipment and for the overall system. These documents are requested with the engineering drawing package. d. Contractor shall install the cleanroom in the specified building spaces. Liaison with building services staff will be arranged by Battelle.
