Renovation of a residential development in Newton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Housing Authority of the Town of Newton ("Authority" or "NHA") of Sussex County is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB) in accordance with Local Public Contracts Law of the State of New Jersey, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., for the roof replacement at the Newton Housing Authority. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids. All Bidders must comply with the mandatory requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-3.1 et seq. (P.L. 1975, c. 127) and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding Affirmative Action responsibilities of contractors. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Ch. 150, P.L. 1963; the requirements of the New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act, N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq., and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), 29 CFR 1910, with regard to worker and job safety.
