Renovation of a multi-residential development in Newton, New Jersey. Working plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
As of July 25, 2024, Newton Housing Authority has rejected the bids. Notice is hereby given that the Housing Authority of the Town of Newton of Sussex County is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB) in accordance with Local Public Contracts Law of the State of New Jersey, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., for the Electrical Upgrade and Heat Pumps at the Newton Housing Authority. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids. All Bidders must comply with the mandatory requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-3.1 et seq. (P.L. 1975, c. 127) and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding Affirmative Action responsibilities of contractors. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Ch. 150, P.L. 1963; the requirements of the New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act, N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq., and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), 29 CFR 1910, with regard to worker and job safety. Subject to the issuance of an Addendum providing to the contrary, the last time for all inquiries by Bidders concerning this Bid Solicitation is July 3, 2024, as may be extended by Addenda. All written pre-bid inquiries concerning this Bid Solicitation must be directed to David Drake at ddrake@w2a-architects.com. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, bearing the name and address of the Bidder and plainly marked to indicate the name of the Contract for which the Bid is being submitted and addressed to William Snyder, Executive Director, Newton Housing Authority, 32 Liberty Street, Newton, NJ 07860
