The project will consist of enclosing an existing sodium hypochlorite facility constructed under a separate contract by providing continuation of walls and roof and providing the means to remove the storage tanks from the facility. This contract has Small Business Enterprise (SBE) goals as follows: Construction: 9.48%, Goods: 0.63%, Services: No Measure. Goals are based on the construction estimate plus the 10% Contingency Allowance. The Community Workforce Program goal is not applicable to this contract. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful contractor must execute a one hundred (100%) Surety Performance and Payment Bonds. Estimated Range of the Base Bid - $6,898,032.18 to $8,346,237.83, not including contingency and dedicated allowances. Project Duration: 415 Calendar Days to Substantial Completion, 475 Calendar Days to Final Completion, plus a 48 Calendar Day Contingency Period The Board of County Commissioners, Miami-Dade County, Florida, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid or to readvertise for bids. Bids from any person, firm or Corporation in default on other contracts or agreements with the County may be rejected. Failure by the Bidder to satisfy claims on previous contracts with the County may be cause for rejection of his bid.
