Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Crescent City, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
**As of August 9,2024, project was awarded to Tidewater Contractors, awarded amount is $633,779.50.** In accordance with the State of California Cost Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual and Del Norte County Code 2.33.85, the Del Norte Community Development division is seeking a bid for the acquisition and installation of the following: The work at the lot on 5th and G Streets comprises grading the site to accommodate accessible parking spaces complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA"), including, but not limited to pedestrian access, new curbing, drainage improvements and fencing. One driveway and a portion of the sidewalk, curb and gutter will be replaced on G street. Paint marking and ADA signage will be installed in the parking area. The work at the lot on H Street comprises grinding existing pavement, grading the site to accommodate ADA parking, new curbing and drainage improvements. One concrete valley gutter will be constructed on the south edge of the project. One existing driveway will be removed, and a portion of the sidewalk, curb and gutter will be replaced on H street. Paint marking and ADA signage will be installed in the parking area. It is the policy of the Board of Supervisors of Del Norte County to provide for the procurement of environmentally preferable products, including reusable, reused, recycled and composted products. The Del Norte County Board of Supervisors, its departments, staff, and contractors shall specify and utilize these products whenever practical. Project Location. 874 H ST., 635 & 607 5 TH ST, Crescent City, California, Del Norte County License and Registration Requirements. This is a public works project. Bidder is hereby notified that no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, subject to limited exceptions. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful bidder must have a valid California contractor's license and be able to produce evidence of the appropriate classification(s). The appropriate classification at a minimum is A - General Engineering. Performance and Payment Bonds. The successful Bidder shall be required to execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond for not less than one hundred percent of the construction price, issued by an Admitted Surety, an insurance organization authorized by the Insurance Commissioner to transact business of insurance in the State of California during the 2024 calendar year. Question Deadline 06/21/2024 No oral interpretations will be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of the Contract Documents or any part thereof. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to the County Community Development Department Office. Any inquiry received five (5) or more days prior to the date fixed for opening of Bids will be given consideration. Every interpretation made to a Bidder will be in the form of an Addendum to the Contract Documents, and when issued, will be on file at the County Community Development Department Office, at least three (3) days before Bids are opened. In addition, all addenda will be mailed or sent via electronic facsimile to each person holding Contract Documents, but it shall be the Bidder's responsibility to make inquiry as to the Addenda issued. All such Addenda shall become part of the Contract and all Bidders shall be bound by such Addenda, whether or not received by the Bidders
