The Government of Manitoba, as represented by the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, requests Quotes from qualified Proponents meeting the requirements contained in this Request for Quotes (RFQ) to undertake a Heritage Resources Impact Assessment (HRIA) for an upcoming grading project for road embankment stabilization on Provincial Trunk Highway (PTH) 34 from 9.2km N of PTH 2 to 10.7km N of PTH 2, in the Rural Municipality of Victoria. Initial Site Investigations, Desktop Review and HRIA Provide an overview of the general study area which characterizes its cultural history, heritage, and use of the land; Investigate the project area and conduct an HRIA, including field investigations for the proposed PTH 34 grading and embankment stabilization construction project; Develop/recommend any mitigation and or follow up measures that may be required in order to minimize potential for construction related effects on heritage resources, which may be present at this location. Mitigation measures shall be developed in conjunction with MTI and HRB staff; and Report on the results of the site investigations and complete a HRIA for the proposed PTH 34 grading and embankment stabilization construction project. Attached is the Proposed Location Plan drawing for the existing and proposed ROW limits. Workplace safety during the assignment shall be the responsibility of the Service Provider. Safety practises shall be carried out in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act. Please refer to Part 1 Section 14.0 of this RFQ for requirements related to Worker Compensation Board (WCB).
