Renovation of a fire / police facility in Nelsonville, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

York Township, OH - Fire Department Improvements project Location- 15255 Elm Rock Road Nelsonville, Ohio 45764 Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond to the aforesaid HAPCAP. Bid Bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw their bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the bid opening thereof. HAPCAP reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. Question Deadline 06/14/2024 No official interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to Hocking Athens Perry Community Action and to be given consideration, must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. North Addition: <> To the north side of the existing building build and install a new addition 24' x 48' x 16'. The new addition will be a pull barn style structure with three ply posts set in concrete below the frost line on 8' centers. <> For the roof structure install trusses on 2' centers the same pitch of the existing structure. The roof structure is to have a 1' overhang. <> To the east side of the structure frame in an opening to install a new 16' x 12' insulated garage door. This is to include installing a garage door opener. All wiring for the garage door opener is to be done according to the National Electric Code. <> Band boards are to be treated lumber. <> To the floor of the structure install 8" thick concrete. This is to include installing all gravel necessary. To the front of the new structure heading east to the road remove and dispose of the existing concrete. Form and pour a new pad 8" thick the same width as the new addition. This is to include installing 6 x 6 x 1.4 wire fabric and rebar. Note: Concrete will be done according to the attached concrete specifications unless noted otherwise above. <> To the north side of the structure frame in an area for a new 36" x 80" steel door. To the framed in area install a new steel man door. This is to include a lever handled lockset and hydraulic door closer. Apply new finish to the door according to the interior wall, ceiling, and trim painting specifications. <> At the northeast corner of the existing structure, the existing downspout drain will need to be rerouted. This is to include all items necessary for a complete installation. <> To the ceiling of the new structure install four new 4' LED lights controlled by two three way switches (one at the north entrance door and one at the south door). All wiring is to be done according to the National Electric Code. > To the north exterior entrance door install a new exit sign with emergency lights and battery backup. All wiring is to be done according to the National Electric Code. <> On all four walls install a 20 amp receptacle protected by a GFCI. Wiring is to be installed according to the National Electric Code. <> To the roof slopes and the walls, install 2" x 6" purlins. Install 1/2" blue Tuff-R between the purlins, install five rib 29 gauge painted galvanized corrosion resistant metal roofing with 3/4" ribs on 9" centers with the appropriate screws & EPDM washers (install the screws in the flat of the metal). Install according to the manufacturer's instructions. Panels are to be seamless. The Fire Department is to have in stock color choice. This is to include all 29 gauge painted galvanized corrosion resistant metal flashing (gable, side wall, counter, ridge cap, eave drip, corners, and door trim) to make this a complete installation. All flashing is to match the new covering. Install inside and outside closures. This is to include installing snow guards. <> To the exterior of the door, install an exterior LED light. All wiring is to be doing according to the national electric code. <> Install white seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts to the new addition roof slopes. Divert water away from the foundation with concrete splash blocks where no drains exist. NOTE: New gutters and downspouts shall be .027" thick, seamless aluminum. Aluminum gutters shall be installed with aluminum screw type fascia brackets on two-foot centers. Where no fascia exists, gutters shall be installed with strap hangers on two-foot centers with straps installed under roof coverings Use all similar metals in fasteners and hanging systems. Gutters and downspouts shall be securely fastened. CONCRETE SPECIFICATIONS: A. Scope: 1. Work under this section shall include the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools and workmanship necessary or incidental to concrete work as hereinafter specified or as detailed in the List of Work and/or drawings. 2. No concrete shall be poured without first notifying the Housing Rehab Office at least 24 hours in advance. Mixing and Placing of Concrete: 1. All concrete and cement finish shall be mixed by machine and the measurement of water, cement, aggregates and admixture shall be done by an approved method to assure accurate control. 2. A sand cushion of at least two inches (2") shall be provided under all sidewalks and driveways. 3. Sidewalks shall be a minimum of four inches (4") thick. 4. Driveways shall be a minimum of six inches (6") thick. 5. Sidewalks to slope not less than 1/4" per foot away from structures. All walks, steps and tops of curbs to be adjusted to properly meet adjacent surfaces. 6. All slabs, sidewalks and driveways to contain properly installed 6" x 6" x #10 x #10 wire mesh or a fiberglass reinforced concrete mix (whatever the write-up calls for). Expansion joints are to be properly installed.
