Nether Providence Township Providence Road Pedestrian Walkway Improvements Project. The scope of work generally includes concrete sidewalks and curbing, asphalt pavement replacement, milling and overlay, associated pavement markings and other miscellaneous items. The work indicated will be at a minimum, partially funded via Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) grants from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania acting through the Commonwealth Financing Authority. The bidding process, contract, and conduct of the work must meet the requirements of the MTF grant agreements, which has been entered into by Nether Providence Township, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The agreements obligates Nether Providence Township to certain compliance requirements. If said compliance requirements are not followed, funding for the project will be at risk. Bidder's attention is directed to the Technical Specifications Section of the bid package, which contains the MTF Reimbursement Agreements and related Additional Special Provisions as an attachment. These documents outline the specific requirements of the MTF program. Submission of a bid for this Project will be considered the Contractors acknowledgement of these requirements and commitment to adhere to the same. Questions Due Date: Jun 25th 2024, 10:00 AM EDT Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond, certified check or cashier's check, in favor of Nether Providence Township in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, on bond forms provided by Nether Providence Township. All Bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified in order to submit a bid. To demonstrate Bidder's qualifications to perform the Work, Bidder shall submit with its Bid a copy of their ECMS PennDOT Approved Pre-Qualification Summary Page for the Prime Contractor and all Sub-Contractors. Nether Providence Township reserves the right to reject any and or all bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. The Work will be substantially completed on or before September 30, 2024, completed, and ready for final payment on or before October 31, 2024.
