A. Work Included: It is intended by the execution of this Contract for Houston Park-Beatty Run Streambank Stabilization in Nether Providence Township. Work consists of clearing, tree removal, grading, temporary access road, streambank stabilization and pool stone wall repair. B. All areas disturbed during construction shall be restored to its original condition or better. The Contractor shall be responsible to replace any curb, sidewalk, signage, etc. per the project plans and contract documents. No additional monies will be given to the Contractor to restore the site. All pavement restoration areas shall be neat, straight, joint lines, if applicable. Narrow asphalt strips (less than 2 feet wide) between curb and trench will not be acceptable. Online sealed bids for the Houston Park - Beatty Run Streambank Stabilization will be received by Nether Providence Township online via the PennBid Program. Major items include clearing, tree removal, grading, temporary access road, streambank stabilization and pool stone wall repair. All Bid Documents, Construction Plans and Specifications are available online at no cost to prospective bidders. The successful bidder will be required to pay the PennBid Program a fee of 1/4 % of the contract award value, with a minimum award fee of $150.00 and a maximum of $6,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with bidding through PennBid and the successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid. Bids must include bid security in the amount of 10%. Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid package, particularly to the PA Prevailing Wage Rates, Public Works Employment Verification Act, Non-Discrimination Clause, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirements for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a one year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or parts thereof, and to waive any informalities in the bidding as is in the best interest of the Township.
