The Town of Hyde Park (Town) seeks to retain the services of a General Contractor (Contractor), Project Description; Centerville Road (8976 feet) from 1407 Centerville Road to Mountain Estates Drive. 1/2" Shim with Type IV asphalt and pave 1 1/4" Type IV asphalt wearing course, and road width of 23-feet width. North Hyde Park Road (1584 feet) from Centerville Road to Benson Road. 1/2" Shim with Type IV asphalt and pave 1 1/4" Type IV asphalt wearing course, and road width of 23-feet width. Note, Locations are on a map attached at the end of the RFP. This invitation sets forth the instructions for submitting proposals, the procedure, and criteria by which the Town will select one Contractor, and the contractual terms by which the Town proposes to govern the relationship between itself and the selected Contractor. This RFP, with any negotiated amendments, describes the full scope and nature of the services the Contractor shall provide. Mark French, Road Foreman is the representative of the Town for the duration of this project. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. All traffic control during construction 2. Construction signage in accordance with MUTCD 3. Surface temperature of existing pavement to be 45 degrees and air temp to be 40 degrees and rising at the time new asphalt is applied. 4. A tack coat of emulsified asphalt is required on existing pavements prior to overlay. 5. Access to the residences and businesses must always be maintained. 6. Rubber tire roller on shim coat and no less than 10-ton roller on top coat.
