The Town of Spirit River Council wishes to design an electronic sign at the entrance of Town on the West side of 50th Street, south of 48th Avenue (Elevator Road). A proposed design has been supplied to direct the proponent in the style and size being requested. Project Description: The Town of Spirit River Council wishes to have a Conceptual Design completed prior to developing an electronic programable sign. Project Scope & expected deliverables: The proponent will be expected to provide the electronic sign conceptual design, with specifications and materials. We are looking for a design and materials that will be durable in the outdoor environment and is complimentary to the Town logo and colors, while drawing visitors to our downtown core. In addition, the electronic sign will need to be complimentary in design to a multi-use venue and park to be constructed at a later date within the vicinity. The "Welcome to the Town of Spirit River" sign will need to incorporate in the design recognition to fundraising partners. The proponent will supply the cost to design and estimate to construct and install the electronic sign at the proposed location. Cost shall include electrical installation utilizing the existing infrastructure. The sign can have natural looking elements in the design, but there should be no actual elements (i.e., wood, rock) products exposed in the finished product. Included with this RFP is a proposed design to guide the proponent in the overall conceptual design. We have also supplied a palette of Town colors that can be incorporated into the sign design. This project is part of the "Community KINect" initiative by the Spirit River Kinettes Club. Dimensions: The overall sign shall be original in design, no bigger than 20' in height and 10' wide, with engineered support. The proponent can take liberties with the sign dimensions and features. The attached site plan shows the intended orientation relative to the surrounding development (NE corner of Future Park). Lighting, Display: The sign shall be two sided and have a programable digital display. The display shall be no smaller than 3' by 5' in size. The sign shall be illuminated with LED colour adjustable lighting and display.
