Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Maple Valley, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Work shall be completed within 30 working days from the date of Notice to Proceed in which the City is prepared to issue in July 2024. The Work shall consist of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and other work or items incidental thereto for: The improvements will include a new mid-block crossing on SR 516 near Tahoma High School, approximately 100-ft east of SE Bear Blvd. The project also replaces approximately 1,000 feet of channelization beginning at 228th Ave SE and heading East to provide a 5-foot-wide minimum shoulder. The work includes the following: o Erosion control BMPs o New marked crosswalk Illumination o Solar-powered recta ngular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs) o Curb, gutter, sidewalk and two ADA-compliant curb ramps o Channelization and signing o Temporary traffic control during construction o Other work necessary to complete the Work as specified and shown in the Contract Documents The estimated cost of this project is in the range of $260,000 to $300,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of such bid proposal, including sales tax. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the Contract Documents, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Maple Valley. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding, and to make the award to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the City. The T27b - SR 516 Pedestrian Crossing Enhancement Project is supported with state funding from Washington's Climate Commitment Act. The CCA supports Washington's climate action efforts by putting cap-and invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health.
