Renovation of a parking garage in Holly Springs, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.

The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: Install fire alarm system, fire hose valves, dry standpipes, tamper switches, monitor modules, standpipe isolation valves, access panel with cage for elevator heat detector, and other related fire suppression equipment throughout the Holly Springs Town Center Parking Deck, located at 170 Timothy Downing Drive, as shown in the construction plans prepared by Kimley Horn. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. Bidding Documents may be obtained by contacting Ben Lester at Stonecrest Homes GA by email at blester@stonecresthomesga.com. All engineering and technical questions should be directed to Jason Manners, PE, at Kimley Horn by email at jason.manners@keck-wood.com. The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 90 consecutive days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Nonrefundable liquidated damages in the amount of $300 per calendar day will be deducted from monies due the Contractor in the event that a portion of the work remains incomplete beyond the agreed upon contract completion date. The official Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be the given to the chosen contractor in August 2024. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond for 100% of the contract amount and a payment bond for 100% of the contract amount, with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-6 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. Requests for payments are due by the Fifth (5th) of the month for payment by the Twentieth (20th) of the month less 5% retainage. Retainage will be held until final acceptance of the project by the City of Holly Springs. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNER may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE addressed to the OWNER. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as, bid for "HOLLY SPRINGS TOWN CENTER PARKING DECK FIRE SUPPRESSION", and the envelope should bear on the outside the name and address of the bidder. If the bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of the OWNER. The mailing address is P.O. Box 990 Holly Springs, GA 30142. Bids may be hand-delivered to Holly Springs City Hall at 3237 Holly Springs Parkway, Holly Springs, GA 30115. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re-advertise.
