Holly Springs Town Center Parking Deck Fire Protection / Dry Stack Piping System The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: Install manual dry stack standpipe with 2.5" fire hose valves located per the Cherokee County Fire Marshal requirements utilizing galvanized steel schedule 40 pipe with welded outlets and grooved ends pursuant to the plans prepared by Kimley-Horn for the Holly Springs Town Center Parking Deck located at 170 Timothy Downing Drive, Holly Springs, GA 30115 The Engineer for the project is Kimley-Horn All engineering and technical questions should be directed to Jason Manners, PE, at KimleyHorn by email at jason.manners@kimley-horn.com. The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 90 consecutive days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Nonrefundable liquidated damages in the amount of $300 per calendar day will be deducted from monies due the Contractor in the event that a portion of the work remains incomplete beyond the agreed upon contract completion date. The official Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be given to the chosen contractor in February 2025. Project no- 013990000 Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond for 100% of the contract amount and a payment bond for 100% of the contract amount, with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-6 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNER may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re-advertise.
